Federal and State Arbitration Acts: A Desk Reference
has recently been published by Larson • King, LLP. The authors Keith A. Dotseth, Michael J. Steinlage, and Melissa M. Weldon all practice in the Reinsurance area at Larson·King, a national law firm based in St. Paul, MN.

Federal and State Arbitration Acts: A Desk Reference
Including the Federal Arbitration Act, Uniform Arbitration Act, Revised Uniform Arbitration Act, and Other Select State Arbitration Acts Governing Written Arbitration Agreements

The use of arbitration as a fast, efficient, and cost-effective way to resolve disputes has grown significantly in recent decades. In light of the benefits of arbitration, many parties include arbitration provisions in their contracts to regulate the resolution of any future disputes. The enforcement of those arbitration provisions has led to many statutory regimes addressing the commencement, procedure, and effect of arbitration. This book includes the key statues governing written arbitration agreements in the United States, including the Federal Arbitration Act, Uniform Arbitration Act, and Revised Uniform Arbitration Act. Included after the Uniform Act and the Revised Act are surveys of the states that have adopted those acts. Those states that have adopted their own act are covered in the final section of this book.
