Grace F. Jacobson has joined Larson • King and will focus her practice in the areas of employment law, business torts, and professional liability. She has experience helping clients navigate insurance claims, contract disputes, visa applications, noncompete agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, and regulatory compliance.
Grace earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia. During her time at UVA, Grace provided mentorship to undergraduate students interested in pursuing a legal education and was elected by her peers as the Vice President of Community Engagement of the Virginia Law Democrats. She also served as a member of the Latin American Law Organization and the Lambda Law Alliance. While in law school, Grace pursued served as a research assistant on a project for redrafting sexual assault statutes, worked as a law clerk at a firm in Richmond, Virginia, and provided extensive pro bono work with individuals seeking asylum in the United States who were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In addition to providing individuals with information about their options for obtaining asylum, Grace served as an English-Spanish interpreter between attorneys and clients.
Grace received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Lake Forest College in Illinois, where she played on the varsity soccer and cross-country teams. She also served on the Academic Honesty Judicial Board and Conduct Board and helped revise the College’s policies and procedures for handling instances of misconduct.
