Jack is an experienced trial lawyer who handles a wide variety of litigation. He focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, business and contract disputes, and property and construction damage claims.
Jack provides thoughtful legal counsel to his clients throughout representation so they can make well-informed decisions. He keeps his clients’ best interests in mind at all times, and he works to achieve the best results possible.
Jack has tried cases to verdict involving wrongful death, personal injury, and construction disputes. He regularly litigates high exposure, multi-million dollar lawsuits, and has had multiple successful jury verdicts involving claims in excess of $10 million. Among Jack’s successful verdicts, he recently obtained a complete dismissal of his client in a wrongful death trial where the plaintiff claimed $10 million in damages.
The majority of Jack’s practice is devoted to defending claims, but he also represents plaintiffs. He has obtained numerous successful settlements and results for his clients in those cases as well.
Jack is always working to further improve his skills. He graduated from the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy at Stanford Law School in 2019. The IADC Trial Academy is a comprehensive and challenging seven day program that is designed to help lawyers further develop and fine-tune trial advocacy skills.
As a result of his hard work and achievements, Jack has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers annually since 2017—a peer-reviewed selection that recognizes only 2.5% of lawyers in each state.
Jack’s passion for trial advocacy started while he was in law school. In his final year, Jack won UND’s trial competition, the Carrigan Cup. He also competed extensively in the Moot Court and Trial Team programs. As a result of his accomplishments throughout law school, Jack was inducted into the National Order of Barristers.
In his free time, Jack is a volunteer coach of the University of St. Thomas School of Law’s Trial Advocacy team for the Student Trial Advocacy Competition, which is hosted by American Association for Justice (AAJ). Outside of his work, Jack likes to spend time with his fiancée and dog. He enjoys traveling and time outdoors.
