Alex focuses her practice on business litigation, insurance, and reinsurance. Alex joined Larson • King after working for two terms as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, for the Honorable Judge Jeanne M. Cochran and Judge Jeffrey M. Bryan. Under the direction of these experienced judges, Alex strengthened her legal skills by researching and writing on a wide variety of complex appeals.
Alex earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, she was a Marshall Brennan Fellow, student attorney for the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP) clinic, on the Student Bar Association, on the Dean’s List, and an Executive Editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Review. Alex received her undergraduate degree from Drake University. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy and taught English to Italian schoolchildren.
Prior to her clerkship at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Alex spent ten years working in marketing communications and product marketing for technology companies and sports agencies in Minneapolis and Chicago. She enjoys using her business experience when advising clients on legal matters.
Outside of her practice, Alex enjoys traveling, visiting art museums, and spending time with her family and dog.
