Matt’s practice focuses on class action/antitrust, business/commercial, and complex tort litigation. He leverages his background working in government and private practice, in the courts, and as a mediator to provide Larson • King’s clients—both plaintiffs and defendants—with discerning and proactive representation at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit through appeals. Matt works with individual and corporate clients alike to achieve favorable results in state and federal courts across the country.
Before joining Larson • King, Matt worked in civil litigation and appeals for the largest public law office in Minnesota and clerked for the Honorable Judges Lucinda E. Jesson and Louise Dovre Bjorkman at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Matt also spent several years working in and studying conflict resolution. That work ranged from serving as an international representative to national governing bodies in Europe; to developing domestic security intervention programming for an NGO in Washington, D.C.; to managing mediation services provided to civil litigants in Minnesota state courts, successfully mediating dozens of cases to resolution each year.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Matt spends as much of his free time as possible enjoying the great outdoors with his wife, Laura, and their dog, Monty.
