Matt’s practice focuses on antitrust, class action, commercial, and complex tort litigation. He leverages his background in public and private practice, in the courts, and as a mediator to provide Larson · King’s clients—plaintiffs and defendants—with discerning and proactive representation at all stages of litigation. Matt works with individual and institutional clients alike to achieve favorable results in state and federal courts across the country.
Before joining Larson · King, Matt worked in civil litigation and appeals for the largest public law office in Minnesota, clerked at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and mediated a wide variety of cases to successful resolution. A second-career lawyer, Matt also spent several years working in and studying conflict resolution and national security in Europe, Washington, D.C., and Minnesota. Born and raised here, Matt spends as much of his free time as possible enjoying the great outdoors with his wife, Laura, and their dog, Monty.

EDUCATION
Matt earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where he was awarded the Robert J. Sheran Litigation and Practice Scholarship, competed in the Federal Bar Association’s Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court, and served as Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. He studied political science in bachelor’s and master’s programs at the University of Minnesota and universities in Spain, Norway, and Russia.
