R. John Wells has joined Larson • King as a partner. John is an experienced trial attorney who represents clients in complex litigation involving toxic torts, product liability, transportation, and oil and gas matters.
In his toxic tort practice, John defends manufacturers, contractors, and premises owners in matters involving a wide range of alleged exposure scenarios. He regularly develops and implements defense strategies addressing bystander and take-home exposure claims, low-dose theories, and disputed or speculative product identification.
John has extensive experience representing transportation companies, including Class I railroads, in personal injury, employment, and property damage litigation. He has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts across the Upper Midwest and has achieved favorable outcomes through targeted motion practice and early case resolution informed by his deep understanding of railroad and transportation law.
John also represents companies and individuals in oil and gas matters, including litigation arising from pipeline strikes, blowouts, and incidents involving catastrophic injuries.
John’s addition to the partnership strengthens Larson • King’s trial bench and reinforces the firm’s commitment to providing a sophisticated, results-oriented advocacy for clients facing complex and high-exposure litigation.
